This was revision rhinoplasty. My nose was originally asymmetrical, and I was unhappy with the rhinoplasty I had 6 years ago, so I decided to have revision surgery and went for a consultation through an acquaintance’s referral.
The director in charge came in briefly, seemed annoyed, glanced over my nose, barely said a few words, and was about to leave. I stopped him and asked questions, and only then did he respond a few times with short answers before leaving. Personally, I had seen a few acquaintances get decent rhinoplasty results at this hospital, so I impulsively decided to have surgery, and that turned out to be the problem.
The asymmetry in my original nose was not corrected, and instead, the asymmetry of my nasal tip, which had become higher through the revision surgery, became even worse. It stood out more when taking photos, so I thought it had actually become worse than before and requested a follow-up.
As soon as the director came into the consultation room, he spoke as if arguing with me, saying, “It was originally a crooked nose, it won’t work even if we do it again, and even with revision surgery, costal cartilage would have to be used, so it would only increase the possibility of inflammation.” Every time I asked something I was curious about, he answered irritably, “I said it won’t work,” and when my expression stiffened, he just walked out.
From the pre-surgery consultation in the first place, there was no conversation at all about what I was curious about or what needed to be agreed on, and the result was not satisfactory at all. I’m so angry at the attitude of consulting this way for a surgery that changes someone’s face and just trying to take the money. The consulting manager also tried to wrap it up by saying that the director’s personality is originally like that, that even other patients have complained about it, so please understand a little, that my nose is less crooked than I think and people won’t know if I don’t take photos, and that I just shouldn’t take pictures from the lower angle. Could you say that if it were your own face? Why should I pay money and also have to understand Director Park’s personality when he operated on me like this?
Even though the surgery turned out like this, if they hadn’t consulted with me in that kind of way, I wouldn’t have left a review to this extent. But I’m leaving this review because I’m furious at the way they do business by performing surgery that changes my face and then respond so irresponsibly. In this plastic surgery review section, there wasn’t even a field to indicate my doctor in charge. Don’t do business like this. It was Director Park at Cinderella Plastic Surgery.
