Review of hump nose surgery using septal cartilage

I had a hump nose, but I had never thought it looked that bad shape-wise, so I hadn’t considered nose surgery. But at one plastic surgery clinic, they strongly told me as if my hump nose also needed to be corrected, so I got swayed and had the surgery.. I had hump nose surgery using septal cartilage. I had the surgery without knowing anything, so they said they would raise it with septal cartilage there and, if it wasn’t enough, use ear cartilage? I think. After surgery, they say the size and shape of my nose from the front look similar before and after, but the nasal tip height is much higher than I expected, and somehow only the tip looks sharper than before, like something was inserted and fixed in place.. Also, when light hits it, an “11”-shaped shadow appears, and this stresses me out so much.. My nose is on the long side, so when the “11”-shaped shadow extends all the way to the nasal tip, all I can see on my face is my nose.. When I smile, only the nasal tip sticks up sharply and becomes like a witch nose. It looks so artificial that I cover it with my hand when I smile.. I ended up developing a complex I didn’t even have before..ㅠ More than anything, I had a little rhinitis even before nose surgery, but after surgery it became worse. Other than when eating spicy or hot foods, I had never had a runny nose while eating, but now even if it isn’t spicy, whenever I eat something my nose just runs and runs, and mucus collects at the tip of my nose. At 2 months, I didn’t even know my nose was running, but as sensation gradually returned, I can feel that my nose is running a bit.

And maybe because it’s septal cartilage, it’s been almost 3 months since the surgery, but every time I touch it, it’s hard, and I really can’t get used to it.. The hospital where I had surgery said it would become soft like my original nose after 3 to 6 months, but when I searched online, people said septal cartilage stays hard for life.. I don’t know which side is right, and I’m currently so uncomfortable that if it doesn’t soften, I’m thinking about having removal surgery laterㅠㅠ

To sum up, the surgery didn’t fail, but I don’t like it.. I think it feels even more that way because it wasn’t a surgery I originally planned to have. I went to fix my eyes, but after hearing that my nose needed to be fixed too, my nose suddenly started to look ugly, and I hate myself for being swayed into choosing itㅠ (In the end, my eyes turned out worse.) I found this site while searching for restoring the nose after rhinoplasty, and I wonder if something might have been different if I had known about it earlier.. I’m not at a level where I can read comments yet, but I’m going to search hard here about removal surgery.. There’s no guarantee that I’ll like removal either, but psychologically I feel anxious and dissatisfied, so it’s still hard to endureㅠ I wonder if it’s okay to write such a negative review when the surgery didn’t even fail, but I’m posting this in hopes that no one gets persuaded and has surgery thoughtlessly like I foolishly did..
