While going on consultation visits, I asked about the surgical method (incisional, non-incisional) / whether canthoplasty was needed / anesthesia method / side effects / stitch removal date, degree of swelling / revision period / cost, dates, etc.
1. Motive They recommended incisional ptosis correction, epicanthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty. A friend had it done here and the result was good, so I went there on their recommendation, but honestly, I did not really like it that much. Above all, they recommended canthoplasty for a 1 mm difference, and I wondered whether it was really necessary when it did not seem like it would have a major effect. And more than anything, the price was very high. Altogether, it was in the mid-3 million won range.
2. Eight I had a consultation with the director Ham. They recommended partial incision, and said my eyes would not benefit even if I had canthoplasty. They explained why partial incision was needed, and I also liked the way they designed the line, so this was one of the places I considered until the end. The price was 1.98 million won, or 1.8 million won with same-day booking. 1-year revision period.
3. Eyeline They recommended partial incision + triple lateral canthoplasty. Again, I wondered whether I really needed canthoplasty, and the hospital felt a little old, so I felt slightly hesitant. The total price was in the low 2 million won range.
4. AB I had a consultation with Director Bae In-ho. They recommended incision, and said lowering lateral canthoplasty would be okay to do, but it would also be fine not to do it. Here too, I liked the line they designed and their explanation of the surgical reasoning, but personally, it felt too much like a huge factory-style hospital, so it was overwhelming. Still, I think it is a good hospital. 1-year revision period. The price was 2 million won including same-day booking, writing a review, etc.
5. Jayjun I had a consultation with Director Lee Woo-jin. They recommended partial incision and strongly advised against canthoplasty. Most of all, except for the fact that the director spoke quickly, he was very kind, and I could feel his confidence in partial incision. Also, he designed several different lines, and I liked that I could choose one from among them. 2-year revision period, price was 1.98 million won, and I think it was 1.58 million won with same-day booking.
In the end, I had surgery with Director Lee Woo-jin at Jayjun, and it has now been about a month, so almost all the swelling has gone down. It came out just as the line was designed, so I am very satisfied. However, I heard Director Lee Woo-jin is taking a year off, so he has currently left Jayjun.
The surgery was done under semi-sedation anesthesia and finished in almost 30 minutes. Right after the surgery, I briefly iced my eyes and was discharged immediately. My eyes only felt a bit sore on the day of surgery. Major swelling lasted about 1 to 2 weeks, and minor swelling seems to have lasted about 3 to 4 weeks. Even now, the swelling still seems to be going down very slightly. I recommend taking the medication prescribed by the hospital, using cold compresses, and looking up eye-surgery aftercare methods on YouTube, etc. Most of the information is all on YouTube.
