I went because I heard that if my gums show when I smile, Botox can fix it. They asked me to smile, checked which side pulls up more, I think? and injected more on that part. It was over quickly, in about 5 minutes, and there was no pain. But when you smile, the upper lip needs to roll inward to some extent for it to look natural, but because the philtrum and lips were fixed in place, it looked extremely awkward. It actually looked more natural a few months later when the Botox effect wore off.
