I had eye surgery in 2015, so it has now been over 3 years. My horizontal eye length was on the shorter side, the so-called small “clam-like” eyes, and I felt I wouldn’t get the image I wanted with just non-incisional burial, so I had lateral canthoplasty done together. At the time, there was a lot of talk that lateral canthoplasty closes up 100%, so I had plenty of worries that were not exactly worries, but even now I am a case that has seen a lot of effect. I think scars can’t be helped. Unless you look up close, they don’t show, and if I’m bare-faced in a bright place, they are just slightly visible. Compared with the beginning, I don’t feel at all that the horizontal length has shortened. Around the 1-year mark, the slight scar bothered me, so I went around looking into revision surgery, but every hospital I went to said it seemed impossible to make it any less scarred than this, and they kept asking in detail which hospital I had surgery at. So privately I felt that I must be a good case, and the more time passes, the more settled it looks, so I’m satisfied.
