Thinking there was a limit to researching online, I narrowed it down to a few places close to home that had good experience with breast surgery and went for consultations. Among them, this place was also the closest to the conditions I considered important, and after the consultation, it helped me a lot in setting my standards. First, they tend to check the schedule several times the day before and on the day of the consultation, so for someone like me who is usually really careless and forgets things easily, it helped me stay alert, so I think it was a good system. And when I first walked into the hospital, I felt the first impression was good. There was calm music playing, and maybe because I had booked the first morning slot, there weren’t many people waiting, and I liked the calm atmosphere. Also, the front desk staff greeted me brightly and explained things like appointment confirmation and filling out the chart slowly and gently, so even though I had no consultation experience, I think I was able to quickly understand how the consultation system would proceed. At first, I had a consultation with the manager, and the manager in charge of me felt very experienced. She explained things while setting a calm mood, without any subtle pressure? kind of feeling, and she spoke calmly, but her diction was clear, so I could hear her well. And what I liked most was that the manager explained only the parts that were necessary, and for important parts like surgery, she helped me consult with the director. Even for sensitive matters like cost, she explained it plainly and wrapped it up. I consulted with the manager about twice, at the beginning and the end, and consulted with the director in between. Honestly, my first impression of him was slightly intimidating, but once I actually had the consultation, he was sweet. He asked me a lot of questions and listened well to my questions, and especially because I visited without much prior knowledge or consultation experience, there were many things that were hard to understand even when he explained differences between implants or surgical methods. Maybe the director caught that? He explained things in a bit more detail, so I understood well, and I think it helped a lot when I organized things by myself after the consultation ended.
