3-Week Rhinoplasty Review

It’s been a little over 3 weeks since surgery.. I didn’t know this every time I had consultations at the hospital, but they said I had somewhat of a nasal bridge and a small nose. So they mentioned septal cartilage + ear cartilage or donated costal cartilage, but I didn’t want donated costal cartilage for my first surgery, so I ruled that out.. I had 2 mm silicone for the nasal bridge, septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip, and because I had a slightly bulbous nose, cartilage tying? was done. After surgery, honestly it hurt less than I expected, and I remember being shocked when I saw my nose after the splint was removed at one week because it had gotten so big, like an Avatar nose. By week 2, the swelling in the nasal bridge had gone down to some extent, but the nasal tip was still big and bulky, and my columella was a bit long, so after raising the nasal tip, my nose became too long. The side profile is pretty because they brought out the straight-with-slight-curve line well.

Now at week 3, it’s just similar to week 2. It’s long, the nasal ala area is big, and I sigh every time I look in the mirror;

What I’m worried about now is.. first of all, my nose looks long, so after removing the silicone, since it’s a straight-with-slight-curve line and the nasal tip is high, would lowering the nasal tip a bit make it look somewhat shorter.. Since I’m past week 3, I feel like they’ll say early removal isn’t possible. Should I wait a little longer and see as more swelling goes down?
