I removed 20-year-old silicone today.. I was scared of local anesthesia, so I even fasted because I was going to do sedation, but I didn’t do sedation... There’s no bruising yet, but there is some swelling. By evening it seems a bit more swollen. The surgery process was: changed into a gown, washed my face, had a consultation, went to the operating room, had my hands tied ;; disinfected my whole face, had local anesthesia (tears streaming), waited a bit for the anesthetic to spread, then had the surgery. Like when getting a wisdom tooth pulled... it felt like they yanked it a few times, about 3-4 times. Because of the anesthesia the sensation was dull, but I thought my nose was going to come off;; I felt it coming out... It felt like giving birth to silicone through my nose (because I’m an older lady...) ㅡㅡ;; There’s a slight throbbing and a dull, achy pain, and by evening it hurts when I touch it, but otherwise it’s okay. I hope it heals well. It feels relieving, but now that it’s actually out, I wonder if it’ll get too low... I’m a little worried too ;; but I’m not doing any more plastic surgery now... I’ll take care of my skin and figure! I didn’t remove it because there was inflammation, but like someone said, it felt anxiously like a ticking time bomb... It’s bittersweet .. silicone that was with me for 20 years... bye~
