I was going to get double eyelid surgery before starting college, but the appointments were backed up, so I had it done during winter break. That already feels like ages ago. It’s almost been 10 years now, and it turned out so natural that people wouldn’t know unless I told them. At the time, I had surgery for a very expensive price with epicanthoplasty + the natural adhesion method. I was going to do lateral canthoplasty too, but the doctor firmly refused, saying they didn’t recommend it because lateral canthoplasty tends to reattach, so I only did epicanthoplasty. They also said if epicanthoplasty is done too much, too much of the red tissue on the inner side of the eye can show, so they suggested only 1 mm on each side, and that’s what I did. At the time I felt a bit disappointed, but my facial features are on the smaller side, so I think it might have looked strange if only my eyes were made big, and I think it ended up fitting me well. But even back then, and still now, I have some facial asymmetry, so my eyes are uneven ㅠㅠ It’s definitely noticeable in photos. It turned out natural and my eyes are uneven, so many people don’t even know I had surgery lolololol But if there’s one disappointing thing, that’s the flaw. I’m living with it fairly satisfied. I do wonder if someday the day will come when I get revision surgery~ Like 2
