I had my first surgery in 2015. My eye frame itself wasn’t small, but I had ptosis, so it was really uncomfortable having to open my eyes wide using the strength of my forehead. My features are naturally quite small and close-set, so I decided I should at least make my eyes stand out a bit. I went to a clinic in Hongje-dong, Seoul, where my mother had under-eye fat surgery. At the time, I didn’t know about going around for consultations, so I just went there and did it.
I had it done with the incisional method. But I don’t think the doctor in charge did the whole surgery alone. It felt like the doctor in charge did the left eye, and a resident? did the right eye. While I was under sleep anesthesia, I vaguely heard the doctor giving instructions like do this and do that. But I thought that was how everyone did plastic surgery, so I just accepted it. Thinking about it now, I wonder if that was a shadow doctor situation lol. Anyway, after the surgery ended and the swelling went down, it looked really pretty lol.
But after about 3 months, one eye came undone. I don’t know whether it was an issue with my eye or a problem because another doctor operated on it. Anyway, after it came undone, I needed revision surgery, but I live outside Seoul, so I couldn’t go to the clinic right away. When it was almost a year later, I made an appointment and went up to Seoul. I showed them the selfies I had taken during that time, said my eye had started coming undone from this point, and had a consultation. We decided whether to redo only one side or both sides. The remaining line on one side was really natural, but it was so natural that I got a little greedy. Since they were redoing it, I asked them to do both sides so my impression would look a bit clearer.. I shouldn’t have done that.. stay..ㅠ Anyway, the doctor said OK and we went into revision surgery. They didn’t charge me separately. They did it right away with the non-incisional suture method, and I think the swelling lasted about a month.
But lol, maybe I shouldn’t have gone back to the person who made it come undone once.. This time the lines were uneven lololol. Were they angry because they did it without charging me lololol. And the line was too thick too, so with makeup it looks defined and pretty, but bare-faced, I look kind of dumb.. ha;
So now, as it’s been about 4 years, I’m considering a second revision surgery. These days, the level of medical staff seems to have become more uniformly high, so I’m thinking of getting it handled in the region where I live. Actually, I came here while researching online too lol.
Anyway, I just started writing and ended up rambling, but the conclusion is.. you shouldn’t give another chance to a doctor who messed up your surgery once.. I think lol. Everyone, keep that in mind and become prettier.
