Originally, I got a discount on the condition that I leave a review on another app, so I’m writing here because I think I can leave a more objective review in a community like this...
I had my eyes/nose done not long ago. But it was insanely hard. There was a pulling sensation, my nose was blocked, I had to breathe through my mouth, my throat got bone-dry, and my mouth was ridiculously dry... So I thought facial contouring would be easier than eyes/nose...(foolish idiot) That was a very wrong thought.
1. Choosing the hospital I looked into eyes, nose, and facial contouring all together, and I think I visited about 15 places. I made a full list of hospitals that were mentioned a lot in this community and various cafes and went around to them... What I regret is that I couldn’t visit two other places;;; reservations were so hard to get.... Others, please make sure to visit those two places too. They seemed famous.
Honestly, you shouldn’t choose based on cost, but I wanted it so badly and was so short on money that I ruled out most places where 3-part facial contouring was over 10 million won or 9 million wonㅠㅠ Please don’t do that.... Safety is the most importantㅠㅠ
Anyway, my selection criteria were 1) Cost 2) Small hospital (private clinic) 3) Safety 4) No pressure to book
Those four. I ruled out every place that pressured me to book or had same-day booking discounts. Most places had some pressure to book, and several well-known places pressured pretty hard too;;; I ruled those out immediately...
But when I went for the consultation here, I got this strong feeling of ‘Destiny~~~~~~~’ I kept grinning, thinking, this is the place, this is where I’m going to lie down. That thought kept coming to me. You can go ahead when a place feels like this haha
So I chose it, but because the cost was low, I also got worried. So even up until the day before surgery, I kept going around for consultations at other hospitals;;;; Then in the end I had no choice and did it.. because the day had come.. Anyway, right until the end, I got on the operating table wrapped in distrust and anxiety. Everyone, don’t be like this!ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
2. Day of surgery (yesterday) The surgery wait was delayed quite a lot, so I think I lay on the operating table around 5, and when I came to, it was 11...;;; At first I was so dazed and sleepy, like after sedation anesthesia, but it hurt like crazy.... Throat pain? At first I didn’t really feel it, but it’s exactly like when your tonsils are extremely swollen and you have a sore throat from a cold. That pain hits you. It hurt so much when swallowing saliva that I didn’t swallow it and spit everything out...... And at first I didn’t have dizziness or anything, but at one point after going to the bathroom, I suddenly felt like I was going to vomit, so I retched. But surprisingly, after retching once, my mind became extremely clear and alert... It cleared up... and became bearable...
I wanted to drink water so badly, and you really end up counting down the time until you’re allowed to drink water. Time really doesn’t pass.. You think you closed your eyes and slept, but only 10 minutes have passed, or 5 minutes. I really thought I was going crazy. My jaw, cheekbones, and chin were numb and hurt like I’d been punched by someone.. Even with painkillers going in, it still hurt..... It was really soooooooo hard. I was so foolish to compare it to something like eye and nose surgery..
I’m actually really good at tolerating pain, but the pain doesn’t just hurt briefly and stop; it keeps coming continuously~~~~ so I really thought I’d go crazy. So somehow the time to drink water came, and after I drank water, I think I slept a bit better. After that I slept deeply... and was discharged the next day.
Oh, I didn’t feel IV pain or anything, and I didn’t even know there were blood drains in my mouth. There wasn’t really any pulling or pain from them. But when they removed the blood drains, it really.... hurts....... It feels like pulling out steel rods planted inside your mouth?
3. Day 1 after surgery (today) Ha....... Everything is okay, but my mouth is stuck open..... I don’t think I’m swollen yet, and my jaw and cheekbones are still numb and painful like I got punched...... I’m scared to swallow saliva, so I’m still spitting it out.... This is really so hard. Revision surgery? I could do eyes and nose, but I really can’t do this. Even now it’s so hard......
Everyone, if you’re going to have surgery, prepare yourself mentally very firmly before doing it..... It’s really harder than you can imagine..... My head hurts, and everywhere feels like I’ve been hit... I feel like cryingㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ My throat is also so scratchy.....
Hardest things: pain like being punched in the face + mouth won’t open + scratchy throat + headache + water leaks out when gargling + thick saliva(?) coming out of my mouth
Later I’ll bring reviews for days 2~7 too. I hope this helps a lotㅠㅠ I won’t disclose the hospital name. If you’re curious, you can probably look for what I’ve posted..
