When I went in, there were a few people waiting. The TV in the lobby was playing YouTubers’ double eyelid surgery review videos. First, the manager briefly asked where I wanted to do it, what line I wanted, and whether I wanted canthoplasty, and then I had a consultation with the director. The director tried drawing the line and said it looked like I would need incisional surgery and ptosis correction right away, but when I asked whether non-incisional surgery would be possible, they said non-incisional would be fine if I felt it was burdensome, and that I should take my time deciding since I wasn’t having surgery today. They said inner corner canthoplasty and the like weren’t that important and weren’t necessary. Maybe because it was right after surgery, the consultation felt a bit cool, but there was a sense that they respected my choice. After that, the manager explained the price and the usual swelling course.
There is only one director, and the surgery method is to briefly do sedation anesthesia, wake you up, and then proceed with the surgery, so there’s no worry about a shadow doctor, but the consultation did feel too rushed. I recommend asking carefully during the consultation.
