I had it done at a university hospital, and the professor performed the surgery directly, while the assistant surgeon was the department head right below him. I debated whether to have cosmetic surgery together or not and ended up not doing it, but I hear a lot that my nose shape is pretty. However, I had been worried about cosmetic silicone side effects, and the department head told me that since my nose was not low, even if they did osteotomy and shaved down the hump, it would not become much lower, so I did not put silicone in. But it feels like it became a little lower, so I always feel a bit disappointed. When I tell people who do not know I had surgery, they say it is pretty now and high enough, but that if I had raised it, it would have been really much better.
When I woke up, it felt like being hit in the face with a sledgehammer, a level of physical pain I will never experience again in my life... After surgery, breathing through my nose is amazing, and I no longer have trouble sleeping But I developed postnasal drip, and because of the nasal discharge, I developed a habit of spitting
Conclusion: nasal base width osteotomy, hump, a little mid-nasal septal cartilage The shape is pretty and breathing is much better, but I am disappointed about the height
Is there anyone like me who only had septal osteotomy surgery and did not have cosmetic silicone augmentation? Or anyone who decided to have cosmetic surgery again?
