After looking at the website, I just went straight in for a consultation and made a reservation. Along with nostril reduction, my nose was a bit crooked, so that too. I didn’t really think about other hospitals and just hurriedly booked it, but during the pre-surgery tests, the functional problems were more serious than expected, so the director was changed to an ENT director.
I did have rhinitis, but it was worse than I thought lol, so rhinitis surgery was added. Both sides inside my nose were swollen and blocked, but one side was basically at the level where you could say it had lost its breathing function completely... So the doctor was changed to an ENT specialist director, and with nostril reduction + rhinitis surgery + deviated septum? surgery and so on added, when I was only doing nostril reduction I expected the mid-1 million won range, but I remember the surgery cost came out to almost 3 million won.
Since he was an ENT director, he definitely paid more attention to functional aspects than cosmetic ones. He said my nostrils were pretty and my nasal bones themselves were on the thin side, so this amount of surgery would be enough..
After surgery, my constitution doesn’t swell much, and there wasn’t any bruising on the outside. The nostril reduction at Laprin is done inside the nostrils, so the surgical scars didn’t show much either. (This method does not have a dramatic effect.) But the doctor said there were many areas incised and touched inside compared with what was visible from the outside. (This was because a lot had to be done due to the functional problems.)
After surgery, because I swelled a little, it looked like I had facial fat grafting, and people said I looked a bit prettier lol. It made me wonder if this is why people get things injected into their faces.
Anyway, the conclusion is that I had revision surgery lol. My breathing and rhinitis got better, but the nostrils seemed to have reduced less than I expected. I said they hadn’t reduced enough and that people around me were asking whether I really had surgery, so they changed the doctor and I had revision surgery. They made an incision on the outside of the nostrils. He was a director in charge of cosmetic surgery? something like that, so unlike the director who did the first surgery, he explained mainly from the cosmetic aspect. He said my nasal bones were thin and my nose was small compared with my face, so why did I want to reduce the nostrils more, and that I needed to raise the nasal tip to create the nose shape I wanted, etc... At the time I said I wouldn’t do it, but.. why did I do that? Since I was already lying on the operating table, I should have just done it all..
Nostril reduction can easily leave scars, but I accepted that and did it. A scar remained like a slight line, but.. I lived without paying much attention to it. But starting this year, do you know that kind of scar where white flesh seems to rise up on the surgical scar? Something like that started appearing. The surgical area sometimes stings, and I think it’s been about 3 years since the surgery... I just want to have surgery again, including raising the nose too ㅠㅠ
