I wrote this in the eye surgery forum, deleted it, and am writing it again in the review list.
I am looking into nasal implant removal surgery, and while I was active in a community for people with concerns about breast surgery, I needed more information, so I eventually found my way to this community. I need a review to level up, so I am writing one~
✅Here is my review from epicanthoplasty restoration that I had 5 months ago.
When I was looking up information on epicanthoplasty restoration, the thing I considered most important was review photos, but there were not manyㅜㅜ Even when there were some, they were advertising-style selfies or retouched photos taken with apps, so I felt disappointed. I guess that is only natural. If the medial canthus restoration reconstruction went well, people leave all plastic surgery communities ..
✅Reason I had medial canthus restoration I did not have any noticeable epicanthoplasty scar, but after 10 years since epicanthoplasty, as my face lost elasticity, it gradually opened downward and became ㄷ-shaped.
✅Changes after medial canthus restoration Change in impression You can see it in the photos too, but my impression became softer.
✅Scar I do have a scar after medial canthus restoration. The photo below the after photo is a scar photo, but maybe it is hard to see...? There are probably many people hesitating because of scars, but honestly, I think scarring is an unavoidable accompanying side effect. Even if you get information from someone who says they did not scar and have surgery with the same doctor, people who are going to scar still do scar. So I also went for consultations at other well-known hospitals famous for medial canthus restoration, but they would not guarantee 100% that there would be no scar. Since a scar would happen anyway, I decided to do it somewhere with a price advantage, so I chose ㄹㅍㄹ.
✅Surgical method They said they would check during surgery while deciding between internal restoration and external restoration. I had local anesthesia. If you have had epicanthoplasty, you will know. Local anesthesia is the most painful..
It is in the information section, and I wrote it carefully, so why do people not read it and ask?ㅜㅜ ....
✅List of hospitals I consulted before deciding on the hospital.
***ㅅㅅ and ㄱㄴㅁ
ㅅㅅ was 1.5 million won for one eye, 2.5 million won for both eyes, no separate VAT, and they said they would use light sedation, do local anesthesia, then when the sedation wore off, proceed with surgery while checking internal restoration and external restoration during the operation.
ㄱㄴㅁ They recommended revision double-eyelid surgery rather than medial canthus restoration. Medial canthus restoration for both eyes: 2.5 million won Buried-suture method event price: 1 million won They said if I did medial canthus restoration, they would use the Xy method.
<Additional note> This is something I felt during consultations. When you search epicanthoplasty restoration, you probably see Z method and XY method a lot. In consultation posts or question posts about medial canthus restoration! Things like, this method has a possibility of over-reconstruction, that method can cause scarring, and so on. But both eyes are different for each person, so it seems that the exact named method is not that important. When I asked during the hospital consultation, "Which method will you use?" ㄹㅍㄹ and ㅅㅅ reacted like, "Where was that posted that every patient keeps asking about it?"
I tried to write as much as I could, and I hope my review helps!!
