I went for a consultation for revision double eyelid surgery plus upper, back, and lower canthoplasty, along with nostril reduction and alar rim elevation. For the double eyelid, because the epicanthal folds were severe, they said that if I went with an in-line crease, they couldn’t lift it much, and since my eyes are sunken, it would sag again later and wouldn’t have much effect, so they recommended an in-out crease of about 8 mm. For the canthoplasty, they said upper canthoplasty was needed because the epicanthal folds were strong, and although there wasn’t much space for back canthoplasty, it could be done together with lower canthoplasty just enough to make the eyes look a bit more open. They said nostril reduction was possible and that they could also lift the alar rim a bit together. I asked them to do both alar base reduction and alar rim elevation, but they didn’t even mention the term alar rim elevation and treated it as a single surgery of reducing and lifting the alar wings, so I thought, as expected, the Hit director really must have a patent on alar rim elevation. The total price for revision natural adhesion, upper/back/lower canthoplasty, and nostril reduction was 2.4 million won, but it felt too cheap, and my mom, who came with me, showed concern about possible side effects and seemed to want to wrap things up quickly and leave, so for some reason I just couldn’t feel good about it. The line they set and their interpretation of my eyes were good, but it felt like this wasn’t my fate.
