This was my first surgery, and they were extremely insistent on autologous costal cartilage. I said I wanted donor rib cartilage, but they insisted on using my own rib cartilage, so I agreed and had the surgery. The result was a complete failure. Anyone could see my nose was crooked. Everyone who sees it asks why my nose is pulled to the left. The surgery started around 9:40, and I woke up on the operating table at 6. That was shocking in itself. I’m stressed out because of my nose, and whenever I go for revision consultations, they always say my nose is crooked and ask why the surgery was done like that. I’m already stressed from using my own rib cartilage for the first surgery and the scar, and after going for revision consultations they just keep saying to take rib cartilage again, which is honestly so stressful
