For revision rhinoplasty, they made a plan of <silicone replacement + ear cartilage + alar reduction + nasolabial angle correction>. I wondered, “Is nasolabial angle correction really necessary?” but they said it was for the overall proportions. Since the director has good aesthetic sense, I wanted to leave the shape entirely to them, so I said okay. They also said I had a lot of ear cartilage left, so there was no need to use costal cartilage. Proceeding without costal cartilage was a huge advantage for me, so I was tempted!
But the issue was that I had had semi-permanent filler, so I brought up removal. Other clinics said they couldn’t remove it completely, but would remove as much as possible before proceeding. But the director at Byjun said they would not remove it at all. Since they won’t remove it, they said they don’t know how the design might change, and that they would decide after opening it up and checking the condition. I’d heard they were very skilled, so even though the consultation was disappointing, I considered surgery, but because of this part I couldn’t feel certain, so I decided not to do itㅠㅠ
And I think Byjun would be exactly right for people who want to leave everything to the director and proceed. Rather than trying to accommodate what you want, it seemed like they proceed according to the director’s firm aesthetic standards.
