I had surgery on December 12, 2017. It was the first surgery of my life, so I still remember it clearly.
I remember having silicone for the nasal bridge, osteotomy, nasolabial angle correction, and ear cartilage plus septal cartilage. I don't remember the details anymore since it was 4 years ago... I don't remember how many millimeters it was. I haven't done alar reduction yet.
I had a high bulbous nose tip, and at the consultation the director seemed confident, said clearly what needed to be done overall, and told me to ask as many questions as I could. From the consultation reviews, they said he mentioned paranasal implants back then too, and he mentioned it to me as well. Looking back now, I think it was the right thing to do. ㅋㅋㅋ After that, during the consultation with the coordinator, she was really kind and gave me a very good consultation. She was like an older sister? A very experienced coordinator. There was no coercion or pressure about the deposit.
I wanted to do everything while I was at it, but the coordinator said it would be better to do it separately for faster recovery because circulation would be better, so I decided to do it later and didn't do it.
A bulbous nose has a wide, blunt tip, right? But once the bridge got higher and the osteotomy made it slimmer, I became somewhat satisfied again. Even though it was only an improvement, not a dramatic change. For a year after surgery, I received aftercare, and every time the coordinator greeted me so warmly, and the director personally took care of me and asked if I had any questions, so I was really touched. I was fine, but the director paid even more attention.
Now, 4 years later, I feel like my face tends to swell easily. I know a bulbous nose doesn't become as sharply defined as a normal nose even after surgery, but when I look at it while it's swollen, I feel like I want to get scar-tissue injections. It becomes sharperㅋㅋㅋ The injections are free, apparently. Even recently when I asked, they said they're free.
As I mentioned above, once the bridge got higher and slimmer, and as long as I didn't have a piggy nose, I could still move it left and right, so my satisfaction went up. I wondered if I still needed alar reduction? Did I need paranasal implants too? I honestly wasn't sure~
These days, I feel like I should do it. I think it's wide. The nasolabial folds are bothering me tooㅜ
The price was on the higher side compared to other places. But I have no regrets. I don't really know of any side effects either! I did it with the mindset of lowering my expectations and being happy even if it only improved, rather than expecting a dramatic change, so I think that's why my satisfaction is high.
