I have no regrets about having a child, but I became pregnant when I was chubby and my weight ballooned to 108 kg. Of course I developed stretch marks, but my body felt extremely heavy, especially my abdomen, and giving birth was difficult. I lost weight down to 58 kg through a determined diet, but my body did not return to how it was before. Rather, repeated sudden weight gain and loss made my skin lose elasticity and become wrinkled, bringing frustration and stress about losing weight. And like all dieters haha... the yo-yo effect came, and I gained over 10 kg again. I think I really needed an opportunity to regain my willpower. Older women around me only told me to try a lifting procedure or liposuction, but when I searched for myself, I thought, “So this world exists too.” I learned through YouTube that Director Oh at [Clinic A] not only runs an established hospital but specializes in operating on bodies like mine, so I went for a consultation. The director was kind and fully understood my difficulties, making it clear that the surgery was for natural change and for continued weight loss and maintenance. I liked that they empathized with me, since I had thought excessive fat removal would damage the body. To be honest, I wasn’t extremely happy right after liposuction and lifting. The pain after liposuction was severe, and even putting on and taking off the compression garment was agonizing. The liposuction areas hurt more than the lifting area. I wore a drainage bag for about a week, and removing it felt like the biggest relief. Still, I could feel the pain gradually decreasing, and as my body became lighter than before, my mental and physical health improved a lot too. There is still quite a bit of swelling, and I still have a long way to go with aftercare haha... but I think it’s okay to hope that the beginning and the end will be good. I’ll keep applying scar ointment and won’t forget skincare either haha. My abdomen is much flatter than before, and I’ve gained a lot of confidence in myself. I think I made the right decision having surgery~
