Hello, I’m someone who finally had rhinoplasty at the clinic on June 5. When I was doing consultations and research before surgery, I got a lot of information from this community, and since there don’t seem to be many honest reviews, I’m going to post some reviews going forward to help people planning to have surgery.
(Please refer to my other posts for consultation reviews or surgical methods.) Even during my first round of consultations I was worried, and even up until my second round of consultations I kept feeling unsure and kept thinking about this place. After thinking it over carefully, the director at the clinic did not recommend unnecessary treatments, respected what the patient said, and listened the best. People at other places who strongly insisted, “Do this like this,” “That is like that,” “You have to do it that way,” were not my style.. The consultant also gave a very comfortable consultation, and I could feel consideration during the consultation, as if they did not see patients only as money.
After deciding on surgery, I was also going to do full-face fat grafting, so they said they would dissolve all the fillers in different areas of my face. I went back for another consultation, got filler-dissolving injections, and booked the surgery. During the process of booking and deciding on the surgery, I annoyed them by calling about ten times a day... but they consulted me well without showing any displeasure, so I was so gratefulㅜㅜ
Day of surgery I changed clothes, paid, got prepared, had markings drawn on my face before surgery, went into the operating room, had an IV placed, and immediately went under sleep anesthesia.. I wanted to see the director’s face before falling asleep, but somehow they knew I couldn’t sleep the night before because I was nervous, and let me sleep deeply early. When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room, and when they told me to rest comfortably before leaving, I rested very comfortably without feeling self-conscious and then left. They also prepared the insurance documents well in advance even though I didn’t ask.
After surgery Until the second day when the cotton packing was removed, it was just uncomfortable and my quality of life dropped.. While sleeping, my breathing kept getting blocked, and I slept while thinking about five hundred million times, “If I sleep like this, I’m going to die.” It was the period when my face was swollen to the maximum, and I was anxious so I asked about the swelling. Even though the clinic was closed, they did not forget and answered me well. On the day I visited to have the cotton packing removed, the person who placed my IV during surgery removed all the cotton without pain. They also explained various things and gave me a swelling injection haha. I saw the director, and they said the surgery went well. I jokingly asked, “How can you tell in this condition?” and I think they said, “Because I did the surgery, I know everything~” hahaha How can they be that relaxed? After that, whether it’s swelling, bruising, my nose stinging, swollen, blocked, looking upturned, the nostrils looking uneven, or whether it looks asymmetric or whatever, since not even half the swelling has gone down yet, I feel like I’d be making too much fuss, so I’m just trusting the director and waiting quietly. The fact that I can see the director at every visit doesn’t affect the surgical result, but it seems to help me feel mentally reassured, so I really liked that.
Like this, the first major surgery of my life ended safely, and I’m recovering now~ After having surgery, for whatever reason, I never once thought, “I should’ve done it somewhere else,” or “Ah, why did I do it here?” Maybe the director’s uniquely calm, soft-spoken way of talking and relaxed, peaceful behavior rubbed off on me, because the waiting time just feels completely comfortable hahaha
There isn’t much difference in the before-and-after photos yet, but please just use them roughly for reference. I’m posting them so people who want to anticipate swelling or bruising after surgery can see. Before surgery, due to excessive chin filler injection, the filler had sagged, my forehead was sunken in places, and I had no cheek volume under the cheekbones, so overall my face shape was uneven.
The post-op photos are in order: day of surgery - day 1 - day 2. (They say days 2 and 3 are the peak for swelling and bruising. I’m someone who bruises very easily, and since osteotomy was involved, it was worse!!) I didn’t separately drink pumpkin juice or eat pumpkin porridge, and except for the first day, I ate regular meals.. because my appetite is strong.... A tip that’s not really a tip for sleeping on the day of surgery: sleep with a straw in your mouth hahahaha At least while sleeping, you won’t unknowingly close your mouth, get unable to breathe, and wake up startled. A neck pillow also helped a lotㅜㅜ Now, after removing the cotton packing, I’m suffering more because of nasal congestion.. The psychological anxiety is huge because I know there are giant boogers inside but I can’t remove them.... I respect everyone who has had rhinoplasty.. Everyone planning to do it, hang in there.. I’ll go get the splint removed on the 12th.
