It was a very long time ago, for those who had surgery there. The director who was originally supposed to operate on me definitely moved somewhere else, and I think the director who did the substitute surgery is probably also listing that clinic director position in their career history somewhere else now.
At one clinic, I had facial contouring, breast surgery, eyes, and nose all done. The eyes and nose were done separately on different days. It was after I had the nose surgery first, so I was groggy and not fully awake from anesthesia, but they woke me up and asked about the eye line.
I was so not fully awake from the anesthesia that I could not think normally at all about how the line on my eyes looked, and whether it was good or bad just would not register in my head. Because I was out of it, when I could not actually answer about the line, they started the surgery right away.
When they removed fat from my eyes, it hurt so, so much. I am someone who even gave birth while sleeping, someone who does not feel pain even when a bone breaks, someone who did not feel pain even on the day I had facial contouring and breast surgery, but the feeling of my eyeball being scraped was unbearably painful.
In the middle of that, because I was still so not awake from the anesthesia, I said two nonsensical things ㅠㅠ The doctor got irritated, then called another doctor, said, "This person is very good at surgery," and immediately handed the surgery over and left.
In the end, they stopped partway through removing the fat from one eye. It was the exact eye at the moment they handed me over to someone else, so because the fat removal was left unfinished, it has a sausage-like look.
But fortunately in the middle of all that, other people absolutely~~~~~ from teenagers to people in their 60s, really people of many different ages, even after meeting all kinds of people, they do not even know these are surgically done eyes, and they think these are the eyes I was born with, just that I look Western.
If people looked at my eyes the way I look at them and thought, "The sausage look is severe," and said it out loud, I might have had revision surgery, but although it is true they are sausage-like, how should I put it...
It does not feel like, "The surgery failed! They look like sausages!" Maybe people think of it as a naturally sausage-like look. Anyway, it seems like they do not even think of them as sausage eyes.
The most bewildering thing is that even foreigners ask me where I am from. -_- I am personally dissatisfied, but I have adapted to people's reactions and am just living with it.
To be frank, rather than eyes that are not sausage-like and were done beautifully, eyes that anyone can see are pretty but immediately make people think, "Those eyes were operated on!"
I also wonder if being a few percent lacking actually makes them look more natural, so nobody knows, and whether my own eyes are better that way.
Anyway, that is how it is. My original eyes were also big and pretty, but during a hard time I cried so much that my eyes completely drooped. Anyone could see that my eyes looked tearful, but now they are okay.
The downside is that it was a substitute surgery by a ghost doctor, and they did not consider the patient's condition or anesthesia state and did not wait for me.
The upside is that despite all these circumstances, the biggest problem, the tearful-looking eyes, improved, and they look natural enough that no one knows, but they also make people wonder if I am a foreigner, cough... I gained Western-looking eyes. That is it.
