It’s already been well over a month since I posted my first consultation-hunting write-up.. Time goes by so fast...
During that time, I researched eye surgery a lot, and I made time to visit 4 more places and asked a ton of questions. Compared with when I first went around for consultations knowing absolutely nothing, I definitely feel like the quality of my own consultation-hunting has improved lol
It feels like you see as much as you know? Before, I really knew zero. Oh, and I gave up on the nose, which was just my greed, and decided to do only my eyes!
Anyway, moving on to the consultation reviews.
1. Sinsa Station - ㅇㅇㄷ Plastic Surgery, Director ㅂㅅㅎ It’s a large hospital like hospital no. 4 below, but the vibe was different. It was good.
For a place perceived as a large hospital, surprisingly there was no pressure, and I liked that the director seemed experienced? and overall explained my questions well. The consultation was long too.
But this could also have been because I went when they had more time, so I looked into it a bit more, and that’s why it got pushed back in my ranking.
I figured that even if there are fewer reviews, a place with good reviews + no bad stories would be better than lots of good reviews + lots of bad stories @_@
2. Apgujeong Station - ㅇㄷㅍ Plastic Surgery, Director ㅇㅈㅎ The head director had the best reviews, but I chose this director too because I heard they evaluate really strictly according to their own philosophy.
I truly lost track of time asking this and that, and I think the consultation with the director alone was almost 1 hour? lolol If everyone who dislikes long consultations wants, they can look for another director or avoid this one, but I liked that I could pour out and ask everything I was curious about!
What I personally liked was that when I casually threw out a question to test the waters, if they thought something was not right, they clearly said it was not right.
3. Apgujeong Station - ㅇㅅㅌ Plastic Surgery, Director ㄱㅅㅌ This is a place I visited back when I was still tempted to do my nose too. The director responded in a very straightforward way, so it felt like they were carrying me along? They also seemed very confident and answered the questions I had prepared well.
Especially when talking about the nose, they answered beyond what I asked and explained things in very detailed ways, which I liked.
But for the same reason as no. 4... I let this place go ㅠ I’m only going to do my eyes anyway ㅠ
If you’re thinking about doing your nose too, or are considering nose surgery, I think it would be okay to visit once.
4. Sinnonhyeon Station - ㄴㄴ Plastic Surgery This place is so famous, so I wanted to go because I thought there must be a reason famous places are famous.
And up to the consultation stage, neither the consultant nor the director was particularly bad, but conversely there wasn’t a big impact either. Thinking about it now, this was the kind of place where I wondered if this is what people mean by a factory-style clinic :(
It also felt a bit chaotic... Honestly, putting everything else aside, the reason I firmly gave up on it was the KakaoMap reviews.
A little while ago, I was reading through the popular posts and saw one about reviews. It said that Naver Map can be manipulated by brokers creating lots of accounts,
but KakaoMap reviews are done through Kakao accounts with real names revealed and profile photos attached, so there are no fake reviews.
Honestly, even I probably wouldn’t do it because it might create more work.
Anyway, because of that, I searched the places I had gone to for consultations + a few places I was only considering, and for no. 3 and no. 4, the ratings were a complete mess, so I boldly filtered them out...ㅜㅜㅠ
And the reason I decided on no. 2 is that the head director had good reviews at the previous hospital too, and it seems like this is the hospital they opened after leaving. There aren’t many reviews, but they all seemed good, so I decided right away ㅋ.ㅋ Of course, there are several other reasons too!
No. 1 was also decent.
I had originally planned to visit 2 more places, but I feel like this place meets all the conditions I liked, so now I’m planning to set a date and go ahead with it!
I’ll come back later with a review hehe lol I hope it turns out well.
Oh, as for the price, it’s something that can be set by the consultant-level staff or while discussing with the director, after considering various things, and it’s something you can only know by going yourself.
Looking at someone else’s price only lets you compare prices, so I think it could be unhelpful for making a decision, so I’ll leave it out.
