The doctor was a bit blunt, but not in a rude or unpleasant way at all. It just felt like a blunt dad type of person. The coordinators were all nice, and I could feel pride and professionalism from the director, so I decided to trust them and go ahead with surgery. But on the day of surgery, on the operating table, the director suddenly said not to put in silicone. They said my skin was thin and it would show, and that bone shaving alone might be enough, so they said we should just do the bone shaving. Bone shaving normally costs an extra 1 million won, but they said they wouldn’t charge that and that it would be fine to forget all the prep done for surgery today, so I should think it over.. Then later they said if I felt the bridge of my nose was low, I should do a fat graft to the bridge (??), but suddenly saying that on the operating table instead of in the consultation room made me think, well... now it’s awkward to go home, and this is a Seoul National University PhD doctor saying he won’t even charge the bone-shaving fee, and kept recommending it, so I followed the director’s advice, but there was no change in my nose.. What did I even have surgery for...? They removed ear cartilage and my ear got deformed, but if my nose at least got higher, I wouldn’t care about the ear deformation, but the bridge and tip both stayed the same, so it felt like I threw away 3 million won.. sigh... looks like I’ll need revision surgery. Everything in the consultation was good, but once I actually had the surgery, it fell short of expectations.. And because of the risk of a medical accident, they only did sedation anesthesia for about 10 minutes? and then continued with local anesthesia, so if you’re scared of surgery, please keep that in mind.
