- Consultation review Like the previous directors, they first mentioned the parts that needed improvement for the short, upturned nose, and in my case they strongly recommended lowering it with autologous costal cartilage. If using an implant, it could be chosen, but they recommended Gore-Tex. When I asked whether Gore-Tex isn’t usually avoided because it can cause problems in revision surgery, they said it depends on the technique and that Gore-Tex can give a slightly more natural feeling than silicone, and that they personally prefer Gore-Tex (they said the design looks more natural). I had some questions and wanted to ask a few things, but they said there was a set consultation time and that if I had surgery I would talk with them in more detail then. (Of course they answered everything I asked, but after every answer they kept saying that, so... I felt like they only wanted to explain the basic surgery and didn’t want to go into anything further.) That kept bothering me, and from the reviews I had seen, I thought this was a place that gave excellent consultations, but it seemed a bit different, so I looked up more reviews and found out the current director here was famous! But I heard they left the hospital and are preparing to open their own clinic... Since it’s a high-cost hospital, they offer a big discount if you book on the same day, so please keep that in mind if you plan to consult.
