Cheekbone Surgery Reviews@cheekbone-review

Facial contouring surgery review: It’s day 1, is it supposed to hurt this much? I’m going crazy.

I got consultations for a while and had it done by the doctor I liked the most, but honestly I’d never had surgery before, so when I lay down on the operating table, I got insanely nervous and felt like I was going to cry.

I had cortical osteotomy for square jaw reduction. The anesthesiologist said, “Relax, 3 seconds... 6 seconds. 10 seconds... breathe in and breathe out.” I was counting to 7 seconds in my head when my vision suddenly started overlapping in three layers, and I was like, “Huh?!!” After that I don’t remember anything.

When I heard “Wake up! Wake up!” I had the respirator in, and I couldn’t breathe properly, so it was really distressing. In reviews people say their throat hurts so much, but for me it isn’t so bad that swallowing is painful every time, more like a very mild sore throat? Honestly there’s barely any throat pain. Is it because it’s only day 1??

For me, more than throat pain, the pain on the side of my face where I had surgery feels like it’s driving me insane. It is truly agonizing. People who do all three, cheekbones and front chin too, are really amazing. I don’t think I can ever have jaw surgery again. Honestly, because of this pain, I’m regretting it even now. My face looks like a swollen pig, I have blood drains in, and it hurts, but I can’t even say it hurts. From inside my mouth to the outside, I can’t hide the feeling like someone is sawing and stirring around the gum area near my molars. My surgery ended at 1:30, and even now at 8 o’clock, it hurts like crazy. It hurts so much, and people saying it doesn’t hurt really feels like a lie... Are there really people who don’t have pain? If so, that is truly a blessing.

I’m also so worried something might be wrong with me. Are there people who had this much pain on day 1 after square jaw surgery? The 2-3 hours after surgery were so agonizing that I honestly felt like it would be better to just die, and I felt nauseous and my whole body felt awful. It hurts so much that I wonder if the inner gum area near the molars can really hurt this badly. Especially when I lower my head, it hurts more. Is it supposed to hurt this much on day 1..
