I had surgery on October 8 (hump nose + bulbous nose + rhinitis) I was a bit worried, and it was very uncomfortable and hard, but I really feel it was worth it.
What made me feel the doctor was truly professional was that starting with the rhinitis surgery, he asked the nurse for tools one after another right away, and the surgery was really super fast. While lying there, I felt he was really amazing. He handled the surgery so smoothly, like assembling a machine.
And he had the most charisma of anyone I’ve ever met. At times, something, maybe bloody fluid or something else, kept getting stuck in my airway, so I was coughing and gagging. He said, “Patient, that level of discomfort is something everyone feels, so you have to endure it,” and the tone, or whatever it was, was really charismatic.
I didn’t even think, “If I don’t listen to this person, I’m screwed.” It just felt like I followed him without questioning why. Amazingly, even though it was that hard, when I listened to the doctor, I could control it again.
I felt the surgery fee was quite expensive (I hadn’t expected the rhinitis surgery cost). The rhinitis surgery was 1.5 million won, cosmetic surgery was 3 million won, and with VAT it was about 4.8 million won. If you agree to photos, they take off 300,000 won. It doesn’t seem like there’s any bargaining. Anyway, including examination fees, medication, and surgery costs, I think I spent about 4.7 million won. They do one patient per day, and with this level of skill, I don’t really feel it’s expensive. And it’s not something I need to worry about, but considering how much doctors study, I don’t think they earn that much either. The tax law is terrible (I don’t know tax law well, but the more you earn, it seems to follow a logarithmic curve, it makes you curse; whether you earn 90 million or over 100 million, it’s the same). They take a huge amount in taxes too, so no matter how much you earn... I also think it was good that I had the rhinitis surgery. Breathing has become much easier. Anyway, since I’m satisfied with the result, I feel it was a reasonable price.
I worried a lot after the splint was removed. It was so swollen that I couldn’t tell whether the surgery had gone well or failed. But on day 11, wow, I’m truly so satisfied.
I researched hospitals for 30 minutes a day for 3 months before going to this hospital. I researched what is good to use for nasal tip cartilage, what risks there are with using the septum, what the risks of implants are, and what surgical methods are safe. I also searched a huge amount for blacklisted hospitals. To just write the conclusion, I have absolutely no regrets and am very satisfied. I don’t want to upload photos, so I won’t. Anyway, please use this as a reference for rhinoplasty.
