Hello, it has now been 5 years since I had rhinoplasty. I came to know this community while searching about revision rhinoplasty, saw this community, and am leaving a post. After my rhinoplasty, I managed my nose for about 2 months, and I thought I had held up well until now. But suddenly I developed pain in my nose and have been suffering from pressure and headaches. I was prescribed antibiotics and various other medications, and I am working and living while taking those medicines, hoping things will improve. If this does not improve, I am in a situation where I have to quit the company I am currently working at and have nose surgery again. It would be fortunate if I do not develop a contracted nose after removing the silicone inside, but if I do develop a contracted nose, I will have to undergo surgery again. So I am currently thinking of removing the silicone and using autologous dermis. However, I had rhinoplasty without even knowing that I had a deviated septum. So if something goes wrong with my nose now, it would be silicone removal, recovery period, deviated septum surgery, recovery period, autologous dermis surgery, recovery period... I would have to spend an unbelievably long amount of time focusing only on my nose. This is the time in my life when I should be focusing the most, and I am so afraid that because of my nose, I will end up missing out on so many things. I have not had the second surgery yet, but I joined this community to get various information. If there is anyone looking into rhinoplasty, what I want to say is that if there are no side effects, and if side effects do not occur even after 10, 20, or 30 years, then I would say it is okay to have that kind of surgery. Now that something like this has happened during such an important time, I am truly realizing so many things. If you really want to have rhinoplasty, I recommend making sure you have some degree of room in your daily life before doing it. I hope this becomes a community where we share a lot of information, help each other, and prevent side effects or damage cases from occurring.
