I had a CT scan and looked at the shape of my nose. They said I had a severe hump, the middle of my nose had sunken in, and the tip was drooping, so they would correct the bulbous nose in the same way and raise the tip. But since my septum is small, it would be hard to lift the tip using only the septum, so they said they would use both the septum and ear cartilage together. They said they would shave down the hump a little, and also do osteotomy of the nasal bridge and correction for the bulbous nose. But just like the first hospital I went to before, they said I would need to raise the nasal bridge with the septum, which was surprising. So I remembered that the first hospital had said that if they used the septum, it could later cause a saddle nose as a side effect, so I asked about side effects from using the septum, and they were confident there wouldn't be any. But at the first hospital, they had said they could make the nose without using the septum and without shaving down the hump, so I thought that was different here. They also said AS was possible for one year after surgery and that they would provide post-op care with laser treatment.
