It's been about 3 years since my secondary canthoplasty. About 10 years ago I had canthoplasty at some random clinic without really checking, and I ended up with scar tissue, constant tearing, and the outer corner of my eye opening up, so the side effects were no joke. After looking around, I found out this clinic also does canthoplasty reconstruction, so I went in for a consultation with the feeling of grabbing at even a straw. I struggled a lot over whether to do reconstruction or revision surgery. My eyes are very small and narrow, and I was stressed about my sharp-looking eyes. If I did reconstruction, I thought I'd be going back to the eyes I had 10 years ago, which worried me. They said revision surgery could keep some of the side effects while slightly lowering the raised outer corner. After a lot of deliberation, I decided on revision surgery and had it done. My condition improved a lot more than I expected, and the shape was much better than before. It's only been 2 years, so I need to keep watching, but the pointed outer-corner shape was maintained for about a year and a half, and now it's slowly changing into a D-shape. I hope it doesn't go back PS: Now, in the 4th year, it hasn't opened up again, but my eyes have gotten smaller. Less of the whites are showing.. I wonder if the fixed dissolvable threads returned to their original position..?
