The consultation manager really gave me great consultation, so I trusted them and decided to go ahead with surgery, but I think that person doesn’t work at that hospital anymore. I saw an interview with them on YouTube, and I remember that they really listened well to the specific things I wanted. I also remember that the doctor answered my question about monolid eye-correction surgery by saying that it would be fine to do it with a buried method, and the consultation was good too. The outer canthoplasty didn’t give me a more open eye look; it just improved things a little. Because of my eye socket bone, I’m not the type for eyes that can be dramatically widened with outer canthoplasty.... But I didn’t originally want anything too extreme, so I’ve been living with it fairly satisfied. My original goal wasn’t a dramatic change, and the buried method didn’t come undone, so I’ve been doing well. It’s already been more than 5 years, I think, but anyway the outer canthoplasty is a bit disappointing, though it healed without scarring, and the surgery was done under local anesthesia. The surgery atmosphere was really good, and because they were so seriously focused, I felt reassured even while getting the operation.
