The hospital was quiet and there wasn’t much waiting, which I liked. It felt like they managed their time well. There was no CT scan; they checked the condition of my septum with something like a nasal endoscope. I had heard a lot that the director was kind of prickly, so I was worried, but he explained things in detail while drawing pictures, which I liked. Among the places I consulted, he was the only one who clearly presented the cause of and solution for the saddle nose issue I was concerned about, so I felt reassured. The other details also matched the surgical direction I wanted, which was great. But the estimate came out ridiculously expensive.... Even at other places, costal cartilage surgery didn’t exceed 500, but here I was told I’d have to pay more than double that, so I don’t think I can do the surgery If the price were similar to other hospitals, I would have wanted to do it here, so it’s really disappointing.
