I had seen a lot of reviews saying the director was scary, so I went in expecting that, but he was kinder than I expected, so he actually didn’t seem scary to me. He really feels like a professor. He says “Did you understand?” a lot. During the intake form, you write down the questions you want to ask, and I found that method convenient. And he shows a lot of before-and-after photos.
But since I was deciding between using ear cartilage or costal cartilage... He showed me tons of before-and-after photos and did this quiz-like thing where I had to guess whether the tip material was ear cartilage or costal cartilage, which caught me off guard “It was this person, what do you think they used? Ear cartilage...” kind of vibe...
What bothered me was that he kept consulting as if it would be ear cartilage because the degree of eversion wasn’t that severe, but at the end, after touching my ear, he said, “Should we just do costal cartilage?” and that stuck with me. There wasn’t that much volume, and there was an inflamed area because of a piercing, so he said that, but he didn’t clearly say yes or no, which left me feeling uneasy.
And the cost is really high. The cost for ear cartilage is the same as the cost for costal cartilage at other places. Costal cartilage is over 10 million won.
If it weren’t for the cost, I think I would have done it here.. But after going around comparing, this place was uniquely much more expensive than the others.. It’s a much bigger obstacle than I expected.
