Revision Surgery Review After 1 Month

Finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally one month in! The swelling has gone down a lot, and I no longer have to do the dressings I used to do every day! They put rubber in so my ear shape wouldn’t get distorted but I ended up losing it, what a mess...

Just like when I used to do dressings every morning and night, I clean inside my nose with a cotton swab soaked in saline, and for behind my ear and under my nose, I got a very moisturizing cream prescribed by a dermatologist, so I’ve been applying it diligently. Postoperative scar aftercare is really important, so carefully!

When the splint was removed at week 2, I was very swollen and worried about my nose shape, and I was grateful that the counseling manager explained everything well. At first, the swelling went down unevenly on the left and right, so it looked really.,. funny, and because it was my own nose, I was so upset, but they said the swelling would keep going down and that we needed to keep watching the shape a bit more.

My nose at one month, still has a lot of swelling under the nose that needs to go down, but I feel like the outline is gradually taking shape,

Now even when the nasal tip is stimulated, the pain seems to be gradually decreasing.

I’m going to see the doctor for a follow-up at the two-month mark. Until then, I’m hoping the remaining swelling goes down more!
