I visited because I was looking into revision surgery for a pinched nose shape and a long nose. I lay down on the operating table, checked the nose shape, and then the consultation began. When I said I wanted the long nose shortened, they said it would probably take about 4 hours if they loosened everything that had been pinched, and that they would remove the septal extension and replace it with rib cartilage. Because my skin is thin, they said they wanted to use AlloDerm to prevent it from showing through, and that we would need to watch for how much absorption happens over one year. The doctor was honest and gave a good consultation. The price is just very expensive, though. I’ll have to think about it.
