Sehyun Plastic Surgery (Apgujeong) - 1-year follow-up after revision rhinoplasty

I’ve had quite a few surgeries so far... lol But the only times I’ve written photo reviews out of gratitude to the directors were for breast surgery (Park Jinseok Plastic Surgery) and rhinoplasty (Sehyun Plastic Surgery), these two times. This isn’t a review I’m writing at the clinic’s request, and I don’t usually use emoticons much anyway, so the writing may feel a bit dry;

I’ve never made an agreement with a clinic to get a discount on surgery fees in exchange for leaving a review, and I don’t think I ever will. My body is precious, after all hahaha

After my first rhinoplasty in 2009, the silicone implant located between my eyebrows became mobile, and the border of the nasal bridge silicone showed through (my skin is on the thin side). Then, about 2 years later, the nasal tip drooped and even the columella descended, making my nostrils very visible, etc. There were many aspects I was dissatisfied with, so after thinking about it for a long time, I had revision surgery at Sehyun in March 2018.

Even after my first surgery, my nasal bridge wasn’t particularly high, but Director Yoo Hyunseok recommended lowering the nasal dorsum further. So I was a little worried about what I would do if the revision result was more disappointing than I expected.

But once the nasal dorsum was actually lowered, the issue of the silicone border showing from the front was improved, and my impression became softer. In fact, even though my nose isn’t that high, because the nasal dorsum is lower, the nasal tip also seems to look more glamorous. I had the surgery in March of last year, 2018, so it’s approaching 1 year and 3 months, but the nose shape is still being maintained beautifully.

Usually, even if I’m not satisfied with the surgical result, I tend to think the clinic’s response and attitude when conveying the patient’s concerns are just as important as the surgical result itself. Even if a surgery initially turns out very well, because of various reasons such as gravity, time, inflammation, or accidents, no one can guarantee what side effects or changes may come later. So when considering a clinic, of course you have to consider many factors such as the doctor’s skill and surgery cost, but above all, I think the most important thing is meeting a doctor who has a sense of responsibility and conscience about the surgeries they perform. In that respect, praise to Park Jinseok Plastic Surgery! (random.. lol) I’m also grateful to Sehyun Plastic Surgery for giving me a pretty nose. I hope everyone who read this long post also meets a good doctor.
