I had my nose revision here more than 10 years after my first surgery at another place. The boundary between the silicone and the nasal tip was becoming more and more visible, so I visited more than ten clinics before deciding. I also found out from the CT that my first surgery used 4 to 4.5 mm silicone.
Honestly, the consultation here was short, only about 5 to 8 minutes compared with other places, and if I judged by the consultation alone, it was not great. But I chose it because of safety factors like the presence of an anesthesiology specialist, the ability to view CCTV, and the director’s experience. Most importantly, the before-and-after photos of the shape I wanted were decisive.
Anyway, they replaced the silicone, lowering it by about 1 to 1.5 mm, and used ear cartilage for the nasal tip. For a revision, the difficulty seemed low, so the price was also relatively affordable. In any case, because the director has a lot of experience and good skill, I like the natural result and the line.
However, after surgery, horizontal wrinkles appeared on the bridge of my nose where there had not been any. When I went to the hospital for the one-week follow-up and asked the director about it, he flatly said it was either a wrinkle that had already existed or that it definitely was not caused by this surgery;; I thought maybe because I lowered the silicone by even 1 mm and the skin had already been stretched from being old.. but in any case, he said it had nothing to do with the surgery.
I expected him to say it would get better over time, or that it was because of swelling, or something like that.. but he only said, “It must have been there originally. It wasn’t caused by the surgery I did,” two or three times Looking at the photos before surgery, it clearly wasn’t there.. After the director left, the nurse comforted me by saying there was still a lot of swelling and that we should wait.
Here, both during the consultation and during follow-up care, it feels like the nurses are better than the director or manager. Anyway, it hasn’t even been two weeks yet, so maybe the swelling will go down and the horizontal wrinkle will fade??!!
