I went when I had just turned twenty and didn’t know anything, because I was told it was a famous place. At the time, a cute semi-upturned nose was trendy, so I said I wanted that. The consultant naturally said it was possible. During the director’s consultation, they also said it was possible. I should have gone to more consultations, but at the time I was so drained that I scheduled the surgery date right after the consultation ended and came home.. haha
On the day of surgery, trimming my nose hair hurt more than inserting an injection needle. The anesthetic injection was also administered without telling me that anesthesia was going in. I never saw the doctor even once in the operating room. (I later found out while having revision surgery at another hospital that trimming nose hair normally isn’t painful, and before anesthesia the doctor comes in to greet you, and they also tell you when they administer anesthesia.)
The surgical result was an Avatar nose, and the semi-upturned nose I wanted and that they said they would do was nowhere to be found, even if I washed my eyes and looked. They just made it into a man’s straight nose. It looked similar to having a triangle placed on my nose. I went to the hospital crying and making a fuss, so they operated again a month later. Even so, only the nose got slightly lower, and the straight nose stayed the same. The bulbous nose also stayed the same. What I kept thinking after the surgery was: did the director really operate on my nose? Even putting aside the fact that none of the nose shape I wanted was reflected despite showing them photos, I never saw even the tip of the director’s nose in the operating room for either the surgery or the revision.
Anyway, I wasn’t satisfied with the result, but I gave up and lived with it. Until the side effects came. The nasal tip drooped, and the hump they had shaved came back out. It was so bad that my friends said my nose looked like Ao Oni = at the level of qualifying as chairperson of the arrow-nose association.
So I had revision surgery at another hospital. The director who did the revision said something along the lines that they had put too much ear cartilage into the nasal tip, so it was collapsing, and if I had been unlucky, it could have broken through the nasal tip and come out. As for the hump coming back out, they said it wasn’t a real hump but the silicone had bent lol. Oh, and while consulting at several places for the revision, something I heard in common was: (touching my ear) It looks like they harvested excessively too much ear cartilage..^^ haha
In short, it means the surgery at WJ was done terribly. Someone in the best reviews here called it “the blacklist in my heart,” and same here. It’s also a huge blacklist in my heart.
