10-Year Double Eyelid Surgery Review

I had double eyelid surgery after finishing the college entrance exam at 19, before entering university. I went around for consultations mainly at well-known plastic surgery clinics in my area, had consultations at about four places, and chose the plastic surgery clinic I trusted the most.

One of them objectively told me only the procedures I really needed, and although I wanted a lateral canthoplasty at the time, they honestly told me it could close up again quickly, so I think that made me trust them.

I wanted it to look as natural and unnoticeable as possible, and I was extremely satisfied with the result. Even though I had the incisional method, they did it so delicately that no one could tell unless I mentioned it first.

I remember the major swelling lasted about 2 weeks, and the minor swelling gradually went down over the course of a year. Until about 2 years after, my face tended to swell often, so in the mornings my double eyelids looked very puffy. If I used a cold compress, it got better right away lol

Because they made it look so natural, I do sometimes think about revision surgery (it was already half an inner double eyelid at first, but as time passed, maybe because my eyelids drooped a bit more, when I open my eyes wide it looks like an inner double eyelid). Still, my impression naturally became softer than before, so I’m living satisfied with it.

I hope everyone has a successful surgery.
