Consultation for revision revision incision blepharoplasty
My eye diagnosis: eyes with both thick double eyelids and sleepiness. Eyelids are thick. The distance between the eyes is narrow. It feels like I struggle to open my eyes. When I said I wanted them lowered, I was told I should think of it as if the double eyelids would no longer be visible after lowering them. There’s a feeling that the double eyelid line suddenly breaks off halfway (because of the skin thickness). Surgical method: incision + ptosis correction (scar removal)
Wore a headband during the consultation. When I said I only cared about them looking natural, I asked, “Really? Is that all?”. What can be done now is mostly to take a loosening approach. The best outcome is lowering the double eyelids while making the eyes look clearer. The sausage-like look will become somewhat more natural, and the tightly pinched marks will also be somewhat eased. Not everything can be perfectly removed x. Don’t expect a dramatic improvement no no The scar can be made less deep by cutting out tissue and fixing it again, but it will still be somewhat visible. The double eyelid design won’t change much, and it should be thought of as lowering it. And when I asked about side effects, I was told that basically, the more times you have surgery, the higher the chance of side effects, and because tissue is being cut out, recovery ability drops. That said, there’s no need to be too scared either. If the goal is to ease things overall, the risk isn’t that high.
Director - overall seems fairly standard and competent. He said that because of the skin thickness, even with revision surgery there are limits, so I shouldn’t have unrealistic expectations.
