My eye positions were uneven and scar tissue formed, so my left side had relatively more swelling than the right ㅠㅠㅠ The mucous membrane was also everted.
First, they told me to wait and see, so I waited 5 months, but then they said there wouldn’t be any progress like this, so I had revision surgery right away! Afterward, the mucosal eversion improved, but the double eyelid size is sliiightly different because of swelling, maybe... I was satisfied here, so I ended it with the revision surgery!
No matter how much strength I put into my original eyes, they wouldn’t get bigger, but now they get bigger with just a little effort, so it’s comfortable. My original eyes also didn’t close fully, so honestly they said that after ptosis correction my eyes might close even less, but that was a completely unnecessary worry, and after surgery, the dry eye syndrome I used to live with ㅋㅋㅋㅋ almost disappeared.
I found out for the first time that my eyelashes are long, and I’m so happy because it’s fine even if I only draw eyeliner at the ends ㅠㅠㅠ Of course, if I open my eyes really wide, they look glaring... but as time passes, the muscles and eyelids are stretching and it’s gradually easing, so I’m going to wait!
Um, I did get it done at a place people tend to avoid a bit because it’s considered factory-style? But I saw an actual acquaintance get it done here and saw the results too, so I chose this place over the other places where I had consultations. In reality, they told me something the other places hadn’t pointed out at all: that my eyes didn’t close fully, and therefore if I did ptosis correction, my eyes might close even less, so they hoped I would choose carefully with that in mind ㅎ... Other places I went to after visiting here were just making a fuss saying I definitely had ptosis and should get ptosis correction, but this doctor checked this and that for a long time, then explained why ptosis correction would be good for me...
Anyway, I think double eyelid surgery is something that has pros and cons at the same time ㅠㅠㅠ
