I had rhinoplasty five years ago without knowing anything.. I thought I would become completely pretty, but it was worse than before surgery.. Still, as time passed, I got used to it. My nasal bridge was too high, so I always wanted it lowered just a little.. Then a side effect? happened.. The implant came loose and moved.. I urgently looked into revision surgery.. As if I were possessed, I had surgery with costal cartilage.. And became Pinocchio.. I thought a lot about whether to remove the implant.. or just have revision surgery. Because my nose had used septal cartilage.. I was scared it might collapse. They said if I removed only the silicone.. a boundary line could form in the middle. I also considered autologous dermis, but someone even sent me a message saying they used autologous dermis and it was a total failure, strongly warning me against it.. so I gave up.. I was just hoping I wouldn’t get inflammation, but they went ahead and operated with Gore-Tex as they pleased.. They said they used Gore-Tex because the implant in my nose kept rotating.. I really wanted to avoid Gore-Tex of all things..
I don’t regret having revision rhinoplasty. I’m very satisfied just living like this without inflammation. But sometimes, very occasionally. A few times so far. It itches like a mosquito bite.. then swells up. When I sleep or some time passes, it disappears. Please, I just hope it’s not inflammation.. For rhinoplasty.. I think you have to be careful with the first surgery..
