I had monolids and small, clam-like eyes, exactly that, and maybe because my eyes were like this, people seeing me for the first time would ask if I was really Korean; My upper eyelids are definitely much thicker than other people’s. So I would occasionally make double eyelids with double-eyelid tape, but after doing that for about 2 years, the skin on my upper eyelids gradually started to sag. At work, my supervisor asked me several times if I was sleeping I was opening my eyes as wide as possible and looking at the monitor,, anyway, that’s why I decided to get double-eyelid surgery. The company I work at is also near Gangnam Station, so I made the appointment for lunchtime, and since I was stepping out during work, I repeatedly asked them to be mindful of delays. I went to my first consultation today, and when I entered the hospital, they put me in with the consultant and the director right away as much as possible so I wouldn’t have to wait, which was good. Honestly, when I was researching online, I saw a lot of posts saying they waited an hour, so I thought I would too, but I liked that I could see they were being considerate. And for the consultation, since my skin is already very thick, there is also a lot of fat inside and the sagging is severe, so they recommended an incisional method. A brow lift? was briefly mentioned too, but the director kept touching my upper eyelids and repeatedly checking the line, then said it would be okay to do just ptosis correction. I said I wanted an outline crease, but because of my skin thickness, they said if the line is high it would look like a sausage, so while finding a compromise, the highest that seemed possible for my eye condition was a semi-outline. My friend also works in Gangnam, so we went to the consultation together, and while watching them draw the line next to me, my friend said even that height was plenty high and told me not to be greedy, so I think I’ll have to do semi-outline And I said I had clam-like eyes, right? So I really wanted posterior canthoplasty, but the director said my eyes are small and more blocked downward than at the outer back..... So if I do canthoplasty, I’ll probably do posterior and lower canthoplasty together. For now, this was the first hospital, so I’m going to go around for more consultations. Given my condition, I’m going to choose a hospital that can operate as much as possible in the direction I want. The consultation was professional, and I liked that they didn’t excessively recommend other surgeries. Maybe because the hospital is white, it felt clean, and since it’s a private clinic, it felt a little compact? But I liked that.
