I had monolids and small, clam-like eyes, exactly that, and maybe because my eyes were like this, people seeing me for the first time would ask if I was really Korean; My upper eyelids are definitely much thicker than other people’s. So I would occasionally make double eyelids with double-eyelid tape, but after doing that for about 2 years, the skin on my upper eyelids gradually started to sag.
