About 4 years ago, I had incisional ptosis correction + medial upper canthoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic near my home, but the line was set too high and my eyes became uneven. I originally had monolids, and since I had gotten double eyelids, at first I foolishly let time pass thinking it was just awkward because I now had double eyelids + because of swelling, but it was simply a botched result. My eyes became sausage-like, as if they were very swollen, and even though I went from monolids to double eyelids, I looked sleepy. I recently found out there is a procedure to lower only the double eyelid line, so I finally got rid of the sausage-like lids I had lived with for 4 years by lowering the line, and it has been about 5 months since surgery. Almost all the swelling has gone down, so I have very natural-looking double eyelids now, and the line turned out much prettier than my previous double eyelids. When I look at old photos, I’m startled and wonder how I lived with sausage-like lids on my eyes. Because my eyes were uneven, one eye looked much less open, and overall I looked sleepy, but now that that has improved, I even feel like I look a bit sharper. Before surgery, I wondered whether the price was a bit high for just double eyelids, even though it was revision surgery, but the before-and-after difference in my eyes is so dramatic that I don’t feel the money was wasted. Satisfied!
