Day 40 after square jaw surgery

I think time went by faster than I expected. At first I wondered when I’d be able to meet my friends, but now quite a bit of the swelling has gone down. Hehe...

Even to me, my side profile looks like a work of art. My parents made such a fuss. My dad especially loves it so much. LOL From the front, I look like I did before surgery. My cheeks were originally on the chubby side, so the angles didn’t really stand out from the front, and right now I still don’t feel much change because of the swelling. Once the swelling goes down, I’ll probably see a slimmer line... hehe... And when I had the jaw surgery, they removed fat from my cheeks and put it into my nasolabial folds. (They did this for free. ^^) So once more of the swelling goes down, my cheeks should look even slimmer. (Excited.. excited..^^)

I can open my mouth wide enough for most things to go in, and I’m so happy that I can generally eat everything except meat. The joy of eating really is...^^

They say that until 3 months after surgery, there won’t be much difference because it’s a period with residual swelling and thickening around the cut bone. I think at least 3 months need to pass for the facial line to come out properly. I hope spring comes quickly. Hehe...
