Before<surgery before><same day><next day>I had surgery 10 years ago with something called the single-knot continuous buried method For 10 years, one eye kept getting itchy and swollen and then getting better again, about once every two or three months I just left it alone but I thought I couldn't keep going like this, so yesterday I went and had everything removed I went back to the doctor who originally did the surgery They asked for 500,000 won, so I paid it I went into the operating room under local anesthesia, they gave me anesthetic injections around the eye It took about 10 minutes, then I paid and was discharged right away Since it was a single-knot method, I guess there was one knot and the 4 or so fixation points inside were all connected as one So they made about a 3 mm incision near the outer corner of the eye and pulled the thread out I got two stitches on each side, four total, and I'm going back in 5 days to have them removed There isn't much swelling and if I wear glasses, it gets covered, so I don't think daily life will be a problem The double eyelid hasn't come undone yet and the original line is still there but somehow I feel like it will loosen over time... They said even with an incisional method, fixation threads remain inside, so I'm just going to leave it and live with small eyes again.... I couldn't find any reviews about removing double eyelid fixation threads, so I'm leaving one.. To be exact, I think it has been about 12 years.. Hope this helps..
