Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of forehead lift in my 20s... Extremely satisfied. Glad I didn’t have revision eye surgery

I first had buried double-eyelid surgery eight years ago, and five years ago, when the crease had weakened, I had a second buried-suture revision. But as time passed, the space between my eyes and eyebrows seemed to get narrower and narrower, T_T. I had definitely created a double-eyelid crease, but perhaps because my eyebrows descended, my eyes looked increasingly closed-off, and the crease I had made so nicely gradually became hidden until it was barely visible, lol, T_T. At first I naturally wondered whether I should have another eye revision, and I agonized over it. I had already had double-eyelid surgery twice, so I wondered whether touching it again was right, and I was also worried that raising the crease further might make it look unnatural. This time, I decided not to choose after seeing only one place, so I visited many clinics for consultations, mainly about eye revision. Most doctors suggested recreating the double-eyelid crease or operating directly around the eyes, but Dr. Han Dae-hee at Edition Plastic Surgery viewed it differently. He explained that because my eye-brow distance was narrowing and my existing crease was being pressed down and hidden, a forehead lift could suit me better than operating on the eyes themselves again. Honestly, I had thought forehead lifts were procedures for middle-aged people, so I was like, what?!! I was also a little unfamiliar and flustered about having one in my 20s. But after looking up various forehead-lift reviews, I found that more people than expected have it for eye-related concerns like mine 😂. Once he explained, based on my condition, why this direction was more appropriate than eye revision, I finally understood. I especially liked that the goal was not to disturb the existing crease again, but to relieve the downward pressure from above so the hidden crease could become visible again. Since the area had already been operated on several times, I felt touching it again would honestly carry considerable risk. I also carefully looked at forehead-lift reviews, and they were similar to my concerns, which helped even more. He said the distance between the eyes and eyebrows could naturally gain some room, and that the procedure could be done naturally without overly raised eyebrows or a startled expression, which I had worried about. In the end, I decided to have a forehead lift with Dr. Han Dae-hee. What worried me most was scarring and swelling. But because it was done through minimal incisions, the incision areas were smaller than expected, and since they were inside the hair, they were genuinely hard to notice. Before surgery I had searched endlessly for reviews and had seen many posts worrying about scars, so I was very concerned, but after actually doing it, I wondered if I had been unnecessarily scared, haha. I can’t say there was no swelling at all, but my whole face did not swell enormously as I had imagined, and returning to daily life was not especially burdensome. I even wondered whether recovery was faster because I’m in my 20s. Anyway, it was much easier than I expected—maybe the power of youth, hehe. The result really made me feel glad I didn’t have eye revision surgery! Before, my double-eyelid crease was almost completely hidden, so my eyes looked tight, heavy, and fierce—a total mess. Now the crease I originally created is clearly visible again, T_T 💗. The distance between my eyes and eyebrows has definitely become more spacious, so my eyes look much more open, but my eyebrows are not excessively raised and I don’t look startled. This was the change I wanted most when deciding on a forehead lift, and I think it turned out exactly that way. I often saw people in their 20s say in forehead-lift reviews that their eyes looked bigger and their double-eyelid creases became more visible. After doing it myself, I understand what they meant. The strangest and most amazing thing is that my eyes look much clearer even though I didn’t recreate the eyes themselves. If you’re in your 20s like me, your eye-brow distance is gradually narrowing, your double-eyelid crease is becoming hidden, and you’re considering eye revision again, it might be worth looking up reviews of forehead lifts in your 20s. Reoperating on the eyes is not necessarily the answer. You can tell even from my before-and-after photos, but the change was more definite than I expected, and even now I feel I made a really good clinic choice, haha.
