Nose Re-Surgery

Review of implant removal and revision with autologous dermis due to capsular contracture

In my mid-20s, I had my first rhinoplasty with silicone in Apgujeong. I did not like the height, so six months later I had a thicker silicone implant inserted. My nose was very small and low. After surgery, my nose stung and felt uncomfortable whenever the seasons changed, and the hospital said it was inflammation, so I received injections for about two years. After several years, the hospital disappeared completely lol. Ten years passed like that, and although the tip of my nose felt tight, I pretended not to notice because I did not want another surgery. One day my boyfriend seriously said my nostrils seemed very visible lol, and only then did I face the truth. It was time to remove it. I looked into hospitals. I had used silicone because I hated my low nose, but putting in silicone again after removing it would likely cause another complication. While looking for another method, I found a review from someone who had used autologous dermis at [Clinic A] in Suwon. They remove dermis from the buttock and place it on the bridge and tip, which fit the natural look I wanted perfectly. Since I have a small nose, the silicone implant was clearly noticeable. I had surgery there at the end of April this year, so it has been about seven months. The scar on my buttock where the dermis was taken has improved a lot, and I am satisfied because my nose has risen naturally. However, I heard graft take varies greatly by person, and I seem to be on the lower side T_T. Still, they check the height during follow-up and supplement the dermis if needed, so I am not worried. Most of all, after removing the silicone, my nose feels so light and refreshed lol. I recommend autologous dermis if you want a natural look!
