Before <before double eyelid surgery> After <after double eyelid surgery> I had completely monolid eyes and used to wear double eyelid tape. After wearing it for about a year, the skin on my eyelids stretched, so I got double eyelid surgery! My eye-opening strength was originally weak and I didn’t have much eyelid fat, so I had ptosis correction + natural adhesion buried sutures + epicanthoplasty. I ended up getting epicanthoplasty because the doctor suddenly said my eyes would look much bigger if I had the inner corners opened... But after the epicanthoplasty, I got scars at the front of my eyes. When I went to the clinic, they said we still needed to watch it longer and that it would disappear once the swelling went down completely, but it didn’t disappear^^!! At first I was really stressed, but now I just accept it. I like that the line came out clean and well-defined. Just decent. Conclusion: Unless your eye length is extremely short, you have epicanthal folds, or your inner corners are closed off, I don’t recommend epicanthoplasty.
